It's perfectly safe because it's not actually included in the definitions yet, but once it comes out of testing it will be integrated and I'd leave it enabled as it looks very promising for detecting new and unknown threats .

Still in the process of beta testing, any problems are possible. If you are inexperienced users can turn it off.

The checkbox has nothing to do with it . What I'm saying is, though there is a checkbox to enable/disable this feature, the Heuristics.Shuriken detections are not yet integrated into the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware database yet, that's what's being tested as we speak, a database that does contain it to make sure that it's ready for release so right now checking or unchecking that setting has absolutely no effect whatsoever.

It's under heavy testing by many users so that will dramatically decrease the likelyhood of false positives.
