Today I was unable to properly use malware becouse it always returns this error:

MBAN_ERROR_UPDATING (5,0, CreateFile)

If not can you pease try a manual update and let us know what happens.

what operating system are you using?

Are you running MBAM as a user with Admin Rights?

Try right clicking on the MBAM shortcut and Click on run as Admin..

i'm using Windows 7, and i execute MBAN with SURUN 1.2 admin's propriety

I have a client that seems to be having the same problem. I have been told when the admin on site checks the definitions, they are current (but i haven't been able to confirm this myself). The user does not have admin privileges, but this hasn't been a problem until about 2 weeks ago. The scheduled updates have been working, so this person shouldn't be doing any manual updating.
