Hijack.Homepage

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have this virus that keeps poping up in Melwarebytes and I can't figure out how to get rid of it.

I run the scan and it finds Hijack.Homepage

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\policies\microsoft\internet explorer\Control panel\homepage

I select to remove, and it prompted to reboot for removel, after I reboot I open melwarebytes and delete it from the quarantine and when I rerun the scan its back again.

I have run the scan in safe mode and in normal mode.

I have also run the latest version of Spybot Search & Destroy and that program finds nothing..

I Love Melwarebytes one of the best programs out there for this kinda stuff it always gets rid of 95 percent of crap, but this one item melwarebytes keeps detecting even after removing and rebooting..

Oh and I do have "System Restore" turned off ;)

Any information would be very helpful Thanks
