pop-up ads, mbam.exe not found

Recommended Posts

Hello all-

I started getting random pop-up screens, so figured it was time to run malwarebytes- problem was, mbam.exe couldn't be found. So I went to your forums and found mbam.exe renamed as explorer.exe from here-

http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=29121

I copied explorer.exe to the malwarebytes program folder, then attempted to execute it- then I got a dialog box that popped up with the following message:

"An error occured. Please report the following error code to the Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware support team.

Error code: 703 (0, 453)"

Recommendations?
