AD banners & Pop-uP

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone on site.

I wondering when reading the text list of blocked IP's,

if MalwereBytes eliminate unwanted AD banners and pop-up pages automatically,

with the IP proactive module?

I just like to now, becuse if it does, its a realy good job!

:):) Cheers

Another thing you can do is run Firefox with the No Script and AdBlock add-ons....

No we do not target ad servers, we only target sites we deem to be malicious through our research.

To block ads you may want to install hpHosts, they do block ad servers:

*hpHosts

To manage your hosts file we recommend using HostsXpert. With this tool, you can download the latest updates, merge them with another hosts file, edit entries and much more. It's freeware and works very well on all systems

Keep in mind this won't block all ads but will block alot.

Good pay for firewalls may have further ad blocking features which is why it's usually the only thing I'll spend money on for any security software.

You won't likely need to disable any apps, but if you have any live monitors that watch the hosts file be sure to allow the changes you make.
