If you're seeing it as issue 13 then you probably have a cookie issue. Here is a screen shot of #15

This may help with correcting the issue numbers - if not let me know.

    Download and install CCleaner
  • CCleaner
  • Double-click on the downloaded file "ccsetup227_slim.exe" and install the application.
  • Keep the default installation folder "C:\Program Files\CCleaner"
  • Click finish when done and close ALL PROGRAMS
  • Start the CCleaner program.
  • Click on Registry and Uncheck Registry Integrity so that it does not run (basically the very top, uncheck it)
  • Click on Options - Advanced and Uncheck "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours"
  • Click back to Cleaner and under SYSTEM uncheck the Memory Dumps and Windows Log Files
  • Click on Run Cleaner button on the bottom right side of the program.
  • Click OK to any prompts

If that does not help then temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and try the following.

Please try this on the computer that is having an issue.

1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

2. Restart your computer (very important).

3. Download and run this utility. mbam-clean.exe

4. It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to).

5. After the computer restarts, install the latest version from here. mbam-setup.exe

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray and that you can run a quick scan and all is working as expected.

Then re-enable your Anti-Virus.

If you're still having issues then you might be infected and should follow the directions below.

The steps I provided you with in post #4 typically correct this issue for almost every user we've seen. When it does not work then we often find that other security software is blocking the installation or changes, or the system is infected with Malware.

Since we've already explored the normal solutions that fix it for most users then we need to start running some other tests and scans to see what's going on with your system and what might be blocking it.

You can post in the HJT forum or you can send an email to support@malwarebytes.org and someone will assist you in reviewing your system to get the program working.

Thank you.
