Reganam Toolbar

Recommended Posts

Hi volvic -

Where did it come from - Or did it just appear ??

Seems related to MP4 player or 3G setup - Have you been loading music ??

Legally or otherwise (P2P or torrents)

It just appeared in IE.

I have removed it although it got stuck at the end and I had to turn the pc off and on so do not know how much removed.

I do not load music. I cannot see anything in control panel, add remove programs other than reganam toolbar which won't uninstall now because it cannot find uninstall.log ....

I ran a quick MBAM scan, it found nothing.

Hello volvic

Give this method a try to remove this unwanted toolbar. If you dont feel comfortable with this method, use the method 2.

1.

  • Go to the Reganam toolbar's download page, download and save to your desktop
  • Reinstall the toolbar and follow the prompts.
  • Uncheck all boxes in the Reganam Toolbar installation menu page before clicking Agree
    (End-User License Agreement)
  • Restart your computer.
  • Click Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs
  • Locate Reganam Toolbar and remove the toolbar
  • Restart your computer.

Note:

A. After installing a "Welcome page" will pop up, just closed it.

B. When removing the toolbar a "Stay with us page" will pop up, (Do Not check the boxes) just close it to continue the toolbar removal process.

C. Doublecheck your default search provider/engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc) to make sure Reganam toolbar search has not became the default search provider

Volvic,

Sometimes toolbars come with Facebook apps too ;) If you use Facebook, that might be why you got it.

Anyway, follow sho-dan's directions above

As a side note, please use the ADD REPLY button when replying or erase what the person before you said and address them as @username or something similar, as this makes the forum easier to read.
