Skip login screen windows xp -professional ?

My computer used to skip the login screen so if you turned on the computer it would boot windows and then load your profile automatically. I applied some updates or something, and it stopped doing it.

How do you make it so you don't need to click the icon of your profile to login, assume there is only one user.

Thanks for the help, anyone.

Greetings :)

Some updates cause this because they add additional hidden user accounts used for various purposes, such as maintenance. This article should help you out :) .

I was having the same experience as pifreak and have D/L'd and saved that article. Must have been one or other of the recent MS updates. The procedure works, btw, at least for me. Thanks for providing the link, exile.
