Immortalize Posted March 21 ID:1559859 Share Posted March 21 As you can see Malwarebytes says that the scan for rootkits has finished. Does that mean I can cancel the scan already if I have already finished scanning the file system via another custom scan?
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted March 21 Root Admin ID:1559870 Share Posted March 21 Hello @Immortalize Once the scan has fully completed you should get a screen that looks similar to below.
Immortalize Posted March 21 Author ID:1559875 Share Posted March 21 Hey @AdvancedSetup Thank you, But that does not answer my question. 2 minutes ago, AdvancedSetup said: Once the scan has fully completed you should get a screen that looks similar to below I know I already have finished scanning all drives without clicking the option to also scan for rootkits. So now I am only scanning for rootkits and I want to know if it really scanned all drives for rootkits that fast or if the last step (where the loading icon is) also need to be finished. It will/would take very long, I think. Thank you.
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted March 21 Root Admin ID:1559878 Share Posted March 21 The rootkit portion of the scan on a fast system doesn't take very long. Then it will move onto other system files Do you mean a custom scan like this?
Immortalize Posted March 21 Author ID:1559880 Share Posted March 21 Ah, ok 1 minute ago, AdvancedSetup said: Do you mean a custom scan like this? Yes, only that I selected all drives.
