I saw you were addressing some issues with users of UMX phones.  I have an issue and assurance wireless (a lifeline company) basically refused to assist and said I'd have to purchase a new phone for $65 since the 90 day guarantee had past.  They wouldn't assist technically and this program is for low income families to have an "emergency phone," yet they expect people to "purchase" a new replacement phone instead.   This phone is driving me crazy turning on and off.  I'm at my wits end!  If there were an emergency, I wouldn't be able to use it anyway.  Any suggestions on reversing this problem?  Thanks in advance.   msduke
