The fact that opening Task Manager and it showing high CPU usage for a few seconds is NORMAL

you had me delete stuff that i didnt need to all day. and like the thread says something is running in the background so again what is running in the background how do we check that to be sure. yeah it says the spike is normal but always says something may be running in the back too.

No we ran antivirus scans and removed temp files to ensure there was nothing running that was not supposed to run.

Every once in a while there are things that run that should not be. But it is physically impossible for your computer and task manager to not be running better and faster at this point.

It could just be the spike from launching Task Manager itself, as that will hit the CPU initially as Task Manager's executable is launched into memory.

That said, I still think there very likely is something causing background CPU spiking/resource usage on the OP's system, especially after looking at the Autoruns file that was provided.  There are a lot of background processes, monitors and other tasks running in the background that very likely are eating available resources during normal operation.  This is why I prefer to do my performance tuning/tweaking/cleaning/maintenance tasks manually on my own schedule rather than having programs constantly running in the background to manage it for me, because every added task that runs in the background constantly will consume that much more memory and that many more CPU cycles, taking away from the available power I have to throw at resource intensive applications that I might want to prioritize like running a game or encoding a video etc. thats from the thread so again something may be running in the back..

This command shows you everything that is running. So you decide if you want it running or not. If you don't then go track it down and stop it or remove it.

Click on START and type in CMD.EXE and when it shows on the menu right click and select "Run as administrator"

Then copy/paste that into the command prompt window and then press the Enter key and it will run and open Notepad with the information.

If you want to stop things from running because they're either useless or of little value then we can go through the list and remove them. Almost everything that starts up with the computer on login can be removed. If or when you want to use the program it can be started at that time.

So you let me know what you want to do at this point

also in task manager it shows a number by google chrome but ill have one chrome open and one tab this tab and i am getting a 9 does that mean anything like something is running in chrome or whats the number mean cuz its also random and changes often

Chrome has many different processes and each Tab and each Window has it's own process. That is normal. We can look at cleaning Chrome more too if you like when we're done.

yes id like that a lot. i have an issue with it when i go to sites and go to their search bar and there is old random searches like "MASK" or "payton" and all that. i am unsure if i need to clear anything and what that falls under. but my passwords and all are saved so if we need to clear them to fix the search issue that is fine. its just weird how random stuff comes up on sites like mishka when im just tryna buy jeans. but lmk when to do that fix log and what to do

You're using Everything by Voidtools as a search engine. That may have been needed in older versions of Windows but today the built-in Search in Windows 10 is rather powerful. You may want to consider removing this one
