initial threat scan taking over 20 minutes - is that normal? Also, under policies on the cloud console, mac settings, malware protection is off by default. What are the consequences of turning it on?

There's a new version in beta testing that corrects a problem with excessive scanning, so that's probably what you are experiencing.

Not sure I understand where you are seeing the malware protection is off indications. Is this in an enterprise environment or home use?
