License Key no longer working.

I recently reinstalled Win 10 on the same desktop I've been using for two years with no apparent issue, however, when trying to install Malwarebytes 3.6.1 on this PC

my lifetime license key isn't accepted, license ID is accepted but the key isn't.

Can someone please help me with this issue.

I've installed my license on the PC before this one with no issues as well as installing it several times on this PC when I reinstall Win 10.

If you are having technical issues with our Windows product, please do the following:

If you haven’t already done so, please run the Malwarebytes Support Tool and then attach the logs in your next reply:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained is safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
  • Double-click mb-support-X.X.X.XXXX.exe to run the program
    • You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
  • Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  • You will be presented with a page stating, "Welcome to the Malwarebytes Support Tool!"
  • Click the Advanced Options link

  • Click the Gather Logs button

  • A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed to gather troubleshooting information from your computer
  • Upon completion, click OK
  • A file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop

Hello and Welcome!

Please make sure you are putting the info in the correct boxes to activate your product.  Are you getting a specific error when trying to activate?  If you copy and paste your ID and KEY make sure there are no leading spaces in front or behind the ID and KEY. If that does not work you will need to contact support.

For any of these issues:

  • Renewals
  • Refunds (including double billing)
  • Cancellations
  • Update Billing Info
  • Multiple Transactions
  • Consumer Purchases
  • Transaction Receipt

I've had this license since 2014 and have entered it many times, I still have the piece of paper from Malwarebytes with the License ID and License Key.

The License ID enters with no problem, a green check mark shows when I enter it, however, when I enter the License Key manually or by pasting I make sure that there is an - between the digits and letters I've been using since 2014.

Thank you for your answer, however, I'm not having an issue with entering the License ID or Key correctly.

That appears to be the issue. I just entered the License ID and Key with both being accepted, however I receive this massege:

The usage level has exceeded the maximum installations allowed. There is a problem with your license key and we are unable to activate your license.

When I click on deactivate other devices the Malwarebytes.com page loads with this message: Oops, something went wrong. Please contact our support.

Who do I contact about this issue?
