AdwCleaner 7.2.0 is the first major release since the 7.1.0 release a few months ago (that you can refer on this forum announcement) which is why it took longer than usual to be released.

This new version support the installation and setup of MB3 from within AdwCleaner directly: with two clicks, it downloads and setup MB3, which will be automatically enabled if you already have a license or put in free trial mode. As we've seen numerous users wanted to use a secondary and broader scanner after using AdwCleaner, this should help and ease this usage.

This release also no longer display promotion for Malwarebytes when one or more of our products is already installed. On the contrary, it now display a button to open it.

In addition, the reports now list existing logfiles that have been created in previous instances of AdwCleaner. This was implemented in former AdwCleaner releases but removed since 7.1.0. It's now back. It helps to know when AdwCleaner have been run previously and if it found something.

Finally, the settings screen now contains links (?) that open the related explanation for each of the supported settings. This should clarify what each setting is doing and if you need to turn on some of them.

On the engine side, web browser handling is now more stable than before. This is only a first step, as more will land in the 7.2.1 that will be out in a few weeks: Firefox scan and remediation will be faster, more effective, and more stable.

As usual, detections have been updated to follow the latest threats.
