Web protection still won’t start after fix

Hi @pixiejen

We're sorry you had issues with our program today. We've addressed the issue and here's what you need to do to fix it.

*** How to resolve / verify you have the fixed update package ***

  • Update package version 1.0.3803 or higher contains the fix
  • To resolve, simply reboot your machine. In some cases, a second or even third reboot may be needed.
  • To verify you have this update, go to Settings ->  About -> Update package version: 1.0.3803

(What complete jerk moderator deleted my original post? I'm not an idiot, I went to edit my post to add my mb-check info and the post was gone -- whatever mod did that is a complete jerk)

 

I am having the exact same issue as the OP.   I've done all the other "fixes" and it will is wonky.   Here is my MB-Check info:

Please try the following:

Please try this:

1. Quit Malwarebyts from the system tray by clicking the icon and choosing "Quit Malwarebytes"
2. Open up a command prompt as Administrator
3. Type in (without quotes) "sc delete mbamwebprotection" 
4. Reboot computer
5. Enable Web protection from MBAM UI
