I am trying to download google drive desktop on this machine and it needs Internet Explorer to run the initial login authentication at install. My IE 8 will not connect to various mainstream websites. It will connect to others. There is something blocking me from accessing google.com. My Mozilla Firefox works just fine. They do not allow IE8 to access their website. Your computer is not safe and they do not wish to serve data to you as your computer is out of date and no longer supported by Microsoft. There are ways to bypass this but our forum does not condone or support such discussions. The only thing I can suggest for you is to do some searches on Google for your issue.
