question: can viruses/malwares spread from devices connected to thesameWifi

hi, i need your help since i'm not tech savvy!!

i was questioning myself, not found any answer googling, if viruses/malwares can spread themselves among devices connected to the same home wifi

for example, if i get a virus/malware from my smartphone, could it spread itself on my computer (since they're both connected to the same wifi) ?? 

how do these things work? thank you!

Simply put.... depending on the type of malware, yes it can spread to other devices on the same network/wifi.  Remember Apple, Android, Windows and Mac are all different OS's and windows virus can not infect a Mac and vice versa...
