Random popus appearing and dispaperaing

Getting paranoid since I, as other users here too, see popups randomly appearing and disappearing right away again before I can even make out what they are.

It could be that. I found that task. Next time I'll see the window I'll check Task scheduler if it just ran and will report back.

Yes, you were right AdvancedSetup, that's what it was, the task is called OfficeBackgroundTaskHandlerRegistration located in Microsoft > Office folder of Task Scheduler.

Until Microsoft publishes a fix for everyone you might set it to run once a day or once a week even. Then after the fix see if it needs to go back to once an hour or not. Not really sure what they're doing with it that it needs to update anything that often. My guess is some type of metadata for metrics or something.
