What happens if you run a scan but DON'T hit "Remove Selected"?

Hello,

I ran a scan on a computer and it showed 36 objects, but I don't remember is I hit REMOVE SELECTED?

Were the objects quarantined?

 

Because I ran another scan 3 days later and it said 12 objects found. LESS than the 36 it found the first time.

If you run a scan, and items are detected, but fail to hit the Remove Selected, then the items remain on your computer and do not get quarantined.  However, if you have the premium version and you have an automatic scan scheduled (with the item to quarantine items automatically) then they would have been removed.
