13 items found but none in the logfile.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Ran Malwarebytes with the latest definitions on a Windows 8.1 system with the Dutch language installed.
I took the screenshot of a scanresult, reporting 13 treats found. The logfile however reports that there are no treats found.

Why do I get different results ?

Dear PeterJ,  welcome to Malwarbytes,  and thank you for chosing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.

After Malwarebytes Anti-Malware finish the scan and found threads cliq on the blue button with  "voltooien"

to make sure the threads are placed in quarantaine.  When need for a reboot of your system please allow to reboot and cliq Yes

After reboot you wil find the log with the results.

Hope this clears for you how the program works and if there are more questions just ask.

After the scan is finished open up  "geschiedenis"

to see the list of quarantaine

Select All what is found

and cliq  "verwijder alles"

when needed reboot the system

You can export your scanlog :

open the dashbord again > geschiedenis> scanlogboeken> scanlog  ( zie datum )    exporteer *txt

As I said earlier, nothing is placed in quarantaine and therefore I can't select anything.

I'm just confused why the scanresult screen shows 13 threads and the logfile of it shows none. Seems like a bug or so.

Hello @PeterJ

I'm sorry but I only speak English but you appear to understand it well so hopefully no issue assisting you. Let's try a clean removal and reinstall of the program and see if that corrects the issue for you.

Please uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest version using the following guide. MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

Then let me know if it's working properly or not.

Thank you

@AdvancedSetup,

Sorry for the delay, the computer is not my own.
Followed your steps and now Malwarebytes runs as expected. After the initial scan, the 13 items are shown on screen and in the logfile. Cleaned them successfully.

Thanks for your help.
