is it possible to have PUP through thumb or flash drive?

This PC does not surf net and only connect to the internet for windows update, yet malwarebyte detected 6 PUP.

Unless PUP travel through thumb drive or microsoft install them, there is no possible explanation...

Is it possible for someone to clarify if PUP travel through thumb drive?
