huge no. of Ads pop up

Hi guys

My computer is experiencing a large no. of popups (close to 60-70) blocked when I am accessing legitimate sites like esquire and sky sports

 

I had popups like ads by dnsunlocker and adclick to name some..and none of these showed up in the malwarebytes scan

 

any help will be appreciated

That being told, if any evidence of illegal OS, software, cracks/keygens or any other will be revealed, any further assistance will be suspended. If you are aware that there is this kind of stuff on your machine, remove it before proceeding!

Scan with ComboFix

This is a very powerful tool that should be used only if advised by Malware Analyst.
Do not run ComboFix on your own!

Referring to this instruction, please download ComboFix by sUBs and save it to your desktop.
Temporary disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware protection - instructions here.

• Right-click on icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.
• Accept the disclaimer and agree if prompted to install Recovery Console.
• Do not take any actions while ComboFix goes through your System - it may cause it to stall!
• This scan may take some time!
• When finished - it will display a logfile (located also on your main drive, usually C:\ComboFix.txt).

Include that log in your next reply.
If you'll encounter any issues with internet connection after running ComboFix, please visit this link.
If an error about operation on the key marked for deletion will appear after running the tool, please reboot your machine.

just ran the combofix

the comp restarted by itself after the run..

and i cant find the log file

 

should I re run it a 2nd time?

hmm

its not there..

all i get is this icon

 

and when open that..it loops back to my computer as per attached pic

 

i also tried using the <search> to look for the combofix file earlier and it only manages to fine the original .exe file, the icon as per attached and 1 more .pf file in C:\windows\prefetch

noticed the searched kept looping and i didnt stop to end the search..just kept going and had the same repeat finds for 40-50 times till i stopped it manually

alright

i did a re-run and sat through the whole scan..and i believe the same thing happened during the 1st scan

 

it <completed stage_52> and the computer just crashed

I had the blue screen coming out and the comp just restarted itself (didnt catch the issue entirely but I saw something about bad pool header?)

and it did not get to <preparing log report>

 

this comp is in deep stuff huh

Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please re-run Farbar Recovery Scan Tool to give me a fresh look at your system.

• Right-click on icon and select Run as Administrator to start the tool.

  (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File).

• Make sure that Addition option is checked.
• Press Scan button and wait.
• The tool will produce two logfiles on your desktop: FRST.txt and Addition.txt.

Please include their content into your next reply.

i forgotten to mention this earlier..the blue screen came after the combofix was in the process of deleting some files

Uninstall some programs

We need to uninstall some unwanted/unneeded programs.

• Press the + R on your keyboard at the same time. Type appwiz.cpl and click OK.
• Search there for each entry mentioned below, right-click the entry and click Uninstall one at a time

The list of programs to uninstall:

• IObit Apps Toolbar v7.0
• TornPlusTV_version1.11

After completing uninstalls, please manually reboot your machine!

Note: If you get the message like: An error occurred while trying to uninstall, just press Yes.
Note: If you are unable to uninstall all programs, please inform me, but continue with other steps.

its surfing better now..I am not getting those 60-80pop ups blocked now

ads by dns unlocker is not appearing as well..

 

can I ask why werent these caught in the scans that i did?

Malware is constantly evolving and security vendors can't quickly keep up with it. Time is needed before they can create a definitions for specific infection.
 
Let's get rid of two stubborn uninstalls.
 
FRST search
 
Once again we shall use FRST for additional checks. Re-run FRST/FRST64 by double-clicking:

• Copy {4ED7341F-1942-4623-A27C-9C4F3838172F};TornPlusTV_version1.11 into the Search: field in FRST then click the Search Registry button.
• FRST will search your computer for files and when finished it will produce a log Search.txt in the same directory the tool is run.
• Please attach it to your reply.

managed to capture the "huge no. of ads" as well, the same thing that was happening in firefox earlier

 

I actually havent been using the PC much the last couple of days so im really not sure how it got back-_-

 

also wanted to add that it is also in my android?

i have done that..but got this popup

my pc is actually directly connected through the router..not sure if that's what causing the check failure..still manages to surf the net after the reset

 

the ads are still there
