It has gone from an application with known features and multiple config options, see attached, to a simple ON/ OFF I know it's BETA but you weren't starting from scratch, on the surface at least it looks to have gone backwards. This was simply a quick beta GUI to get the application out, and this technology will be introduced into Malwarebytes Anti-Malware when finished.
