MBAM Disappeared

I have a shortcut for MBAM(Premium) on my desktop.  I just went to run a scan and when I clicked on the shortcut, the program did not appear as it usually does.  I then went to the Start menu and clicked on MBAM.  The User Account Control popped up its usual "Do you want to allow MBAM to make changes on this computer" and I said yes and again, nothing happened.  Where did it go?  Am I not being protected?

If a cold restart does not return all to normal, please follow the steps below:

• Please try the following and let us know if this corrects your issue: MBAM Clean Removal Process 2.x.
• If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and individually attach the 3 requested logs in a reply to this thread: Diagnostic Logs.
• The 3 files, from Step 2, to be individually attached from your desktop are CheckResults.txt, FRST.txt and Addition.txt. Please do not Copy and Paste them into a reply.

Please update the status of your issue here in a reply to this thread.

Thank goodness, a reboot did indeed return all to normal! 

 

Before I shut down the computer I looked at the Task Manager and it showed MBAM running about 10-12 times. (I had tried to start it 10-12 times)  So I guess it was running or trying to run but for some reason I just couldn't see it?  I looked at Task Manager again after rebooting and it was only running the one time.
