Is this a false positive?

This is not a false positive. The program involved here, comes bundled with conduit toolbar.

It is a PUP though... Potentially Unwanted Program.


So it is your choice to keep it or not.

It is not like a virus or anything that will do damage to the machine.

Many free programs are bundled with sponsor programs that are pre-checked for install. (the sponsors get paid when displaying adverts)

Normally it is a matter of un-checking the "extras" before installing the program you were after.

Many people don't see this & end up with multiple other programs installed without knowing where they came from.


If you want to keep the program, just uncheck the detection next scan.

If there is anything else to clean, MBAM will ask what to do with the unchecked item. (ignore once, ignore always) Choose "ignore always" and it should quit detecting it.
