You go the switches wrong but yes that is what I wanted. The next commands we're going to do though you have to have any commands and switches EXACTLY as shown. If you're having trouble understanding the switches /  then see if someone can help with you.

From the command prompt in Recovery Mode please type the following exactly. Press the Enter key after each line

MD D:\BACKUPSCOPY D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\*.*    D:\BACKUPSDIR D:\BACKUPS  > D:\mybackups.txt

Then post that file D:\mybackups.txt on your next reply

Please run the following from the command prompt. Type it exactly and then press the Enter key. It should copy 7 files to the system.

copy d:\frst\hives\*.*     d:\Windows\System32\config /Y

Then restart the computer and see if it will start in Normal Mode. If not then try Safe Mode and let me know.

I followed your guideline, still cannot start up my PC neither normally or in safe mode.

The questions are only 6 files in "d:\Frst\hives", so only 6 files had been copied into"~\config".

Kindly check attachments.

When I tried to start windows normally, then "starting windows Logo shown and flashed" for about 1 min, then blue screen (a screen shot attached), then back to the screen "start windows normally"

The whole story about my PC could not start up was that my chrome pop up the page shown had virus infected messages about a week ago, then suddenly close Chrome completely, and cannot start up chrome at all.

I uninstalled and re installed chrome for about 3-4 times in the past week and survived for a week, but those virus infected pages pop up about every 3 days. I did scanned by malwarebyte and AVG 2015, malwarebyte deleted about 1-3 malwares, and I also manually deleted some unknown newly created sub-directories in "~/program files (X86), but malwares/viruses seems not completely removed.

I did not scan my PC by malwarebyte before the last installation for chrome, after un-installation for chrome,  reboot failed.

The attachment file was the frst report right after failing reboot my PC, that contain "AutoKMS" file, but I already deleted.

That file was before I accidentally deleted the files in "system32\config".

I copies all the files from "user/*/appdata", "~/program files",and "~(X86) program files" into a flash drive, and scanned by Malwarebyte by a laptop, one malwarebyte was found "progma modulator.dll" , and I deleted  already.

Sorry to take you so much time, but hopefully, you could help me to figure out what was wrong with my PC.

Thanks for your help.

Well was just hopeful. You had to have removed other files. There are many other missing files from there and I was hoping that "maybe" it might be enough. At this point aside from possibly taking it to a computer shop locally that specializes in data recovery you will probably have to backup your data and reinstall Windows.

So, what do you think? I either backup all my data and re-install  windows 7 or bring to local specialists for data recovery without re-installation windows 7.

I purchased this computer from HP, and there is one recovery drive about 1.4 GB, will that one be helpful for rebooting computer ?

I did not touched the other directories except for "system32/ config", and you mean I deleted more files than I thought in that particular sub-directory.

Anyway,thanks for all your help.
