Scan for Rootkit Disabled

Recommended Posts

It was disabled in Settings. I enabled it and after another scan, it showed  'Rootkits: Enabled.  I am a bit surprised that it was disabled in Settings by default due to conflicts with encrypted drives.    However, the MB scan seems to be working perfectly and also my laptop, so I will leave it enabled.

.

I just downloaded Malwarebytes Free yesterday for the first time and I am quite impressed:  it informed me that it detected 91 variations on the PUP Optional.Conduit A and PriceGong A types and quarantined them.   I am a seriously elderly person, not computer literate and would not recognise a virus from a bacterial infection, so this was good news for me and I also appreciate  your help on this forum.
