Need Help with PUPs

Recommended Posts

Forgive me if this is not the place to post this question this is my first time on the forum

In the past week after running Malwarebytes Threat scan, it has found PUPs. The first two were registry keys and file for MySearchDial.A and MySearchDial,LA. I found information about these and removed them. In the information about these it stated that they were search bars added to IE or Firefox. Malwarebytes showed that it was in IE11 but there was no search bar when I opened IE and checked. There were no add-ons in IE for this.I have a HP computer and was wondering if some of the software from HP uses this software? Also, I do not use Internet Explorer for the my internet searches.I also checked the Control Panel and nothing matched MySearhDial.

Today, when I ran MBAM, it picked up two more PUPS: The first listed as a file and the second in the registry. I can find no information on them.

PUP.Optional.SanbreeLA File HKLM\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\{890a8319-7c6f-45e4-a506-152b8d9310}Gw64

PUP.Optional.SanbreeLA Registry KeyC:\Windows\System32\drivers\{890a8319-7c6f-45e4-a506-152b8d9310}Gw64.sys

I also ran Adwcleaner and it found several items in the registry:

I don't know if it is safe to remove any of the items found in MBAM or Adwcleaner as I could find no information on the internet.

Since the Adwcleaner had Internet Explorer enteries, I check to see what cookies were in the view file and there were about 24 enteries mostly referencing a website www.moovie,com, When I checked further into this company,  I found that Cyberlink uses this company for movie information in there programs. I have Cyberlink Media Suite installed on this computer. There were also cookies dealing with HP SimplePass. This is another program that came with the computer.

So my questions are:

1. Are these enteries found by Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner really malware or are they related to the cookies found in Internet Explorer and programs that seem to be going out on the web to update? I do not use Internet Explorer for my internet searches. I use Firefox instead -but there appears to be programs on my computer that are run automatically through Internet Explorer for updates or something as I checked this with the first occurance and there were a lot of cookies in Internet Explorer even though I have the box checked to empty the file on closing.

2.Is it save to remove these PUPS and registry entries that was found in Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner?

3. How do I stop this ongoing problem? I have all the settings for security and privacy set to medium high in IE and Firefox.
