Program Compatibility Assistant Popups

CraigR

Recommended Posts

i have a problem whereby most of my apps will not run, and I get a lot of popups from Program Compatibility Assistant.

MS explorer and some basic windows programs seem to be ok

I am unable to run MBAM or my virus program under normal windows, so I have tried booting to safe mode, running MBAM (got rid of some pup and other stuff) and then McAfee full scan, (got rid of 1 virus).

Reboot to windows and still have a problem.

have run the dds.scr from the link and have logs (attached)

Running Windows7 x64

Grateful for any advice

Thanks for the offer Borislav, your reply is timely !

I just managed to get evertyhing working again.

I rebooted to safe mode with command prompt, and ran a system restore from a backup from 4 days ago.

All seems to be working again, and I ran extra scan just to be on the safe side.

I will keep my computer from teenager access in the future !
