ebrenee Posted October 17, 2013 ID:742935 Share Posted October 17, 2013 hello, I have looked through different threads, however, I feel like each post I read is a bit different and I need my own advice, so I made a thread. My laptop has not been able start up and load windows. It gets to the page where you log into your user account, accepts the password and then freezes at "welcome to windows" I am able to access safe mode and am posting from that now.I ran malwarebytes-anti-malware and it said it found "pup.optional.bandoo" in my recycle bin however I tried to look in my recycle bin and I can not even find it. Maybe because I am in safe mode? I am posting to see if you think this could be why my computer wont startup. If anyone is on right now and can help please let me know. Please run the following scanner and send back the logs.Download DDS from one of the locations below and save to your Desktopdds.scrdds.comTemporarily disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.How To Temporarily Disable Your Anti-virus, Firewall And Anti-malware ProgramsOnce downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.Then double click dds.scr or dds.com to run the tool.Click the Run button if prompted with an Open File - Security Warning dialog box.A black DOS console should open and run for a moment.When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:DDS.txtAttach.txtSave both reports to your desktopPlease include the following logs in your next reply as an attachment: DDS.txt and Attach.txtYou can ignore the note about zipping the Attach.txt file and just post it or attach it.
