Just FYI - Office doesn't come with Windows.  On some systems there will be an option to install it - but you'll have to pay for it.

The .xls stuff is documents (spreadsheets) that are saved after using Office.  If the .xls documents have disappeared, there's a serious problem here.

No .xls documents disappeared! My brother has Office, and can install it, later. But, I don't want it, except the spreadsheet.

My brother explained, I have to right-click and select, Send To compressed (zip) folder to zip. I used to have 7zip. I thought I had to download zip software, but I was wrong!

    This refurbished laptop is a Windows 7 64-bit SP1
    Intel Core i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz, 8.0GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics 4000

    Hewlett Packard Probook 6470b

    GB/128SS/DVRW/Win7P64 Bit

How old is it? It used to be state-of-the-art . . . seven years ago? I don't know.

  2. Is this the right forum? This is the 2nd time my PC shut down unexpectedly. It is fairly new, refurbished Probook 6470b. I downloaded Leawo Video Converter as a free New Years promotional within a week ago. Now, my PC has shut down unexpectedly a couple of times. Here is the message on the Windows Pop up box:

Windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown.

Windows can check online for a solution to the problem the next time you go online.

Unplugging the mouse and keyboard allows the laptop to go into sleep mode, with the energy light blinking.

You guys are great. Would you kindly help me figure it out?

  4. Okay, thanx! I am testing the Screen Virtuoso, and it looks pretty good!

    http://emergingdomains.com/0004.swf

The plain .swf file only shows a tiny thumbnail on this BB.

I had to create a youtube video to upload a viewable movie.

8:44PM Editing to say, the recorder doesn't record, "what I hear." Hypercam automatically recorded, "what I hear,"  through speakers, when I play a video. Screen Virtuoso records keystrokes and whatever the mic captures. Screen Virtuoso suggests to download:

    Virtual Audio Cable

    http://www.fox-magic.com/vac.php

Does that link look okay to you? Thanx! :)

8:56PM Look! I checked it on VirusTotal:

    Looks clean!

  5. Thanx so much for those! Trying to find the download link . . .

I downloaded this one: ScreenVirtuoso PRO 4.6.1.3195 , but I didn't execute it, yet.

The one previously before I recovered this PC was HyperCam. It downloaded, Conduit. It's a pup. I still have Hypercam saved on the backup device, but I don't know if I want to mess with it. Beware of the free version of Hypercam.
