hello,
I just want to add a few words here.
You can go to the "Logs" tab and click the logs. The logs will then open. Please paste the whole log(s) that states the files as "dont.steal.our.software".
Please do what noknojon asked to do.
Edit - deleting sentences about asking information and adding an instruction of getting the scan logs.

Hello Footybits,

Please post back if you have further questions.
Thank you

Hello Dheena,
Most likely you got malware on the computer. As we don't work on Malware removal or diagnostics in this forum, please follow the directions below so that an expert helper can help you to check and clean your computer for free -
- If you have already submitted for assistance at one of the other support sites on the Internet then you should not post a new log here, you should stay working with the Helper from that site until the issue is resolved.
- Please print out, read, and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. Then post a NEW topic here.
- One of the expert helpers there will give you one-on-one assistance when one becomes available.
- After posting your new topic, make sure under options (top right of your topic screen), you select Track this topic and choose one of the Email options (prefer Immediate Email Notification) so that you're alerted when someone has replied to your post.
- Please be patient when waiting for an expert help as the expert helpers can get a bit busy.
- Please try not to post back (bump) your topic within the first 48 hours. Expert helpers will find the topics which has a zero post count first. By doing so, expert helpers may think the topic is replied and jump to other posts.
If there is no reply from any experts after 48 hours, you can reply the topic for asking help again or send a Private Message to a Moderator asking for assistance. - Please do not alter the system (eg install or uninstall any software, conduct some fixes, use any removal/scanning tool) after posting unless it is told by the expert helper. Using these other tools often makes the cleanup task more difficult and time consuming.
Alternatively, as a paying customer, you can contact the help desk at support@malwarebytes.org or here for a prioritized support. Please remember to quote your cleverbridge Reference Number from the confirmation e-mail when requesting assistance.

@Bill
Yes, I do agree with Firefox's statement. To test whether it is caused by those P2P software to cause the IP block, apart from using some analyzers like wireshark, I will uninstall those P2P software and see if there's any block occurred again.

Hello nathaniel,
Just a note that please do not post any replies in the Malware removal - HiJackThis forum unless you are the topic starter or authorized people/ experts (and you aren't in both of the situation in those replies).
In addition, do you think is it something happen after you got (or suspectd to have) malware on your system? If so, please follow what noknojon has stated in his last post. If not, please tell us more the details (eg the operating system, hardware and software configuration, the error code when you see your Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)) so that we know more about your situation.
You may want to show your hardware and software configuration at your signature for easier reference.
Thanks

Hello jerryz,
I am not a home user which makes it all the more frustrating. I own a small business...... I down loaded your program, run it in safe mode and still have remanents of the program on my computer.Unfortunately, You CANNOT use the free version or the lifetime version of MBAM in business setting. It is the violation of the license which you had read when you were installing MBAM:
Subject to the restrictions below, you may use the Malwarebytes' Software for any legitimate purpose. In return, we simply require that you agree:
1. Not to use this software for commercial use without proper licensing.
The following quotes come from the parts of the reply of a Malwarebytes' Corporate Support Engineer, Jack:
But to clarify, there is no free version of the product in a business environment and each computer must be licensed. The free version is intended for home users only.Yes, business users need to buy a commercial license. The version you are referring to as the Pro version is for the consumer home retail license which is a lifetime license. Business use requires an annual renewal fee. The scanning engine and the database rules are the same - but the licensing and pricing are different and are handled directly by Corporate Sales. If you need to install MBAM to your business machine, you need to have a corporate license. You can fill the form at http://www.malwarebytes.org/corporate.php, and the Corporate Sales team will contact you with the details.
After having the license, if there's any malware problems after using MBAM, you can contact the corporate helpdesk, and they will assist you to clean the machines.
Thank you.

Hello Bill,
Next time please post your questions about MBAM in the General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum.
Do you have any Peer to Peer (P2P) software, like LimeWire, Vuze, BitTorrent, uTorrent, or Skype, on your computer?
Did you have any other software open when you got the notice?
Do you think you have malware/ virus infection on your computer?

Hello Russell Cunning,
In this particular case, using "ignore list" as the search term will return some related results.
For adding an IP to the ignore list:
Quote from the IP Protection topic posted in this forum (it is advisable to read that topic for better understanding the way how IP protection works):
- How can I add an IP so it won't be detected and can access a site I need to?
- This has now been implemented. Visit the blocked site and incur an IP block. Then right-click on the Malwarebytes system-tray icon after the block notification appears, and choose Add to Ignore List and the IP.
The only way you can add an IP to the ignore list now is to trigger a block by MBAM (eg visiting the site). The following figure shows an example of such a block:
If you can trigger that one, then you can add the IP(s) to the ignore list:
Please post back if you have further questions.
Thank You

Hello strat,
AdvancedSetup does answer your original question in his first reply:
It will run on any version of XP.And then he adds some more words to explain it to you about your situation:
Well all I can say is that something is already wrong with your system as there is nothing that will prevent it from installing on a new fresh install of XP. We know because we've done it many times.I believe he means the system has something that prevents you install MBAM, according to his knowledge.
By the way, I still urge you to install an antivirus software (the free ones are still good choices), then have a full scan of your computer. Here is the the post written by exile360, one of the experts here, about his choices of antivirus:
The following are my personal recommendations for antivirus protection along with links to downloads for them (free trials for those that require a purchase so you can try them before deciding):- Kaspersky (free 30 day trial) The official support forum for this product can be found here
- Avira Antivir (free for home use) The official support forum for this product can be found here
- ESET NOD32 (free 30 day trial) The official support forum for this product can be found here
- Microsoft Security Essentials (free for home use) The official support forum for this product can be found here
- Avast! (free for home use) The official support forum for this product can be found here
Note: If you decide to use one of the trial versions of one of the paid antiviruses then you will either need to purchase it or uninstall it completely and install a replacement antivirus before the trial expires so that your PC is not left unprotected.
Also note that if using the paid version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware with your antivirus in realtime that it is generally a good idea to exclude Malwarebytes' files from your antivirus to avoid conflicts. The FAQ contains examples of setting file exclusions for some known AV products.
Please post back if you have further questions.
Thank You

Hello strat,
Apart from what YoKenny1 and Maurice Nagger asked you to do: update your Windows XP to Service Pack 3,
I urge you to perform two more things:
- Update Internet Explorer to the latest version (ie IE 8)
- Install an antivirus
(To emphasise, the list should also have an item of installing a firewall. But I think you need these two in urgent.)
MBAM is an antimalware solution only. period. You also need an antivirus solution to protect your computer.
You can read the post written by exile360, one of the experts here, about his choices of antivirus, and install one (and only one) on your system, and active the realtime protection mode.
In addition, don't only install up to Service Pack 2. Microsoft has stated the support of Windows XP with Service Pack 2 will end within a month:
Important notice for users of Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2): The support for your product will end July 13, 2010! To ensure that you will receive all important security updates for Windows after that date you need to upgrade to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later versions such as Windows 7.Quote from http://support.microsoft.com/gp/windowsxpsp2
So if I were you, I got a Windows XP CD, and fulfilled the Hard disk space requirements (it should be no problem for computers nowadays), I would follow Maurice Nagger's and my advice above: get the service packs 2 and 3, get the setup file of an antivirus software and that of MBAM, burn them into disks (or put them in an external drive), wipe the hard disk, install windows again, install service packs 2 and 3 offline, install antivirus and MBAM offline, online now and get all the critical updates of Windows (most likely it will include IE 8) plus the updates of the antivirus and MBAM.
If I got a Windows Vista or 7 DVD (and that computer fulfil the requirements of Vista/7), then I would download the relevant SPs, antivirus and MBAM and perform the other steps as above.
Hope you listen our advice by heart and take action. Remember, we response this topic as we want your system to be more secure. The steps outlined above IS the first step to prevent computer virus and malware attacking your computer.
Edit - adding info on SP2 and some more adivice.
- Update Internet Explorer to the latest version (ie IE 8)

Do you keep the old scan logs that MBAM says the file as "dont.steal.our.software"?
