  1. After having some stupid issues with booting Windows I've finally done it. I've installed Maleware Bytes and I've setup a non root user for personal use. I've downloaded Malwarebytes again and I've run a scan, everything seems to be clean/Malwarebytes didn't detect anything in the big scan (my whole PC is reseted so that was expected). So first thank you for your help and second is there anything else I should do to be sure that I don't have a torjans anymore or are there other security settings you suggest me to use?
  2. I do want to run scans, I really do but I'm on Ubuntu right now and the tutorials for your scans are for Windows (as far as I know) and I cant change right now because my dad isn't home, sorry. My question is if it's possible that my wifi is infected and if yes how do I find out and fix things?
  3. Im currently using my mobile phone for the access which gets blocked by the Malwarebytes forum site when accessing trough WiFi. I just launched my PC and tried to access the forum but it also gets blocked, what does that mean?
  4. The router belongs to my dad so I can't do anything about that sadly. But is the IP block a sign for the router being infected or something, should I be scared? Or did the IP just get blocked because I refreshed the page to much when I had the issue with "Spam wording"?
  5. Thank you a lot, I still can't look at the forum trough my wifi because of the IP being blocked for spam. After reinstalling windows with the help of the tutorial you've send me, do you still suggest to scan my system with the software @Porthos suggested? If I have any more questions I will ask them in this thread on the weekend. Already thank you for you guys help tho <3
  6. I want to continue using windows 10, can you also bypass the account creation there and why should I bypass it? I've read through the tutorial. I'm gonna do the reinstall this weekend. The only thing i didn't get is how I update my BIOS and which settings I should use for best safety. Also how do I keep my windows as safe as possible after reinstallation? - I just tried to answer with different messages multiple times which didn't work because it got tagged as "spam wording" and now when I try to login via my wifi the website tells me that my IP is blacklisted for spam or something, what does that mean? Is my network infected?
  7. I don't want to run scans first. I've already deleted and lost all my files so I want to do a complete clean of my system the way you suggest me to first. I would scan afterwards then and after I switched back to windows.
  8. Hey, my PC recently got a trojan and they used a Session token thingy to get into most of my account. Currently I recovered all of them (I hope) except for one (Microsoft support is so slow) and ive reseted my PC and out of pure fear I changed to Ubuntu. My fear is getting a bit better now and I want to go back to Windows because I need it. But I'm scared that maybe there's still malware on my computer (all my files are already deleted so I don't care about wiping my ssds or anything if they're still usable afterwards). So I pretty much have two questions: 1. How do I make 100% sure that there aren't any torjans, viruses, rootkits or whatever on my PC. 2. How do I make my Windows experience as safe as somehow possible when setting it up again (I really don't want to get hacked ever again and I know that it was my fault because I downloaded something fishy). I also still don't know what the hackers tried to get from me (probably billing information but idk), which scares me even more. (I'm a really paranoid and anxious person so I'm sorry if my questions are annoying or anything)
