  8. Hi, yes you should remove all items found with all scanning programs I ask you to use. You have a badly infected system. Scan with SBS&D again and remove it all, also with AVG, take action. Panda removed several trojans, but you still have at least two infections for us to kill off. Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop. http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4 * Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it. * Click the Scan for Vundo button. * Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button. * You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES * Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo. * When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK. * Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt. Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot. Next we need to use this tool: Print or Copy these instructions to notepad and save to your Desktoop as you will be offline with all browsers closed for this fix. Download: Use this URL to download the latest version (the file contains both English and French versions): http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe * Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe * Select 1 and hit Enter to create a report of the infected files. 9. We need to now reset a clean System Restore point. If you don't and you need to use System Restore you will reinfect yourself. Go to Start>Control Panel>System. Click on the System Restore tab and put a check in Turn off System Restore. Then click OK. Now go to Start>Help and Support > Undo Changes to Your System or System Restore depending on the make of your PC. Click on what ever will open the System Restore box. You will see two options, Choose Create a System Restore Point. Give it a name like Clean Restore Point and today's date. Now if you need to use it you have it. Many of these infections can be avoided with an added layer of prevention. All recommended programs are free and easy on system resources. You should install them as part of your protection arsenol. Keep Spybot Search & Destroy and always immunize when you update. You will also need at least one other scanning program AVG is good and there are several other excellent programs with free and paid versions. Read the overviews of what each program below does so you have an understanding of their importance and how to use. A firewall and antivirus are also essential. The Windows firewall in XP is not sufficient. Preform Windows Updates monthly on the second Tuesday or use automatic updates, and use your scanners weekly at the least. Always update before you scan. SpywareBlaster from Javacool Software WinPatrol by BillPStudios SiteHound by FireTrust RogueRemover hpHosts For an excellent list of reliable free firewalls and antivirus programs see here Since this appears resolved I will close the topic to prevent others from posting into it. 10. SBS&D doesn't remove Vundo or Virtumonde. The ComboFix log looks like it is missing stuff. But we will proceed. * Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log. Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot. After you run Vundo and before you post a new HJT log try to run Panda again and then post it and a new HJT.
  11. Hi there Gio Takahashi, and welcome to Malwarebytes. You should never run special fix tools like Deckards without someone familiar with the programs assisting. It can result in destruction of the system. Please follow the directions below while logged in under your Mother's account. If you haven't already, please get these programs, update and run a complete scan removing all items found. Spybot Search & Destroy Be sure to use the immunize feature. But do not enable TeaTimer at this time. Use the tutorial feature in the help tab to see how to go about this. AVG AntiSpyware Be sure to "take action" Then go here and run a scan PandaActive Scan There is a full tutorial on how to to this at the top of this forum. Post the logs from the Panda and AVG scans please, along with a log from this program HiJack This! You will post three logs. 1. AVG scan. 2. Panda Active Scan. 3. HiJack This scan. You will finish the AVG first so go ahead and post that log, then move on to Panda and so forth. I will analyze the logs and give you further instructions. Be patient and persistent. These things can take time and many procedures.
  12. OK, I don't know what you were trying to find. You only need to click on the link in the instructions ( I added another link). These are a direct download. Combo fix saves to your desktop as a red icon with a white X through it. After the scan notepad will open and it tells you where the scan has been saved. This logfile is located at C:\ComboFix.txt . That is what you post. Please run this again and follow the directions. 1. Download this file : http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/combofix.exe Or from here: http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/combofix.exe 2. Double click combofix.exe. It will be a red icon with a white X on your desktop. Follow the prompts you will get a blue cmd prompt screen and a choice to choose Y or N. Choose Y and hit enter. 3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. This logfile is located at C:\ComboFix.txt. Post that log and a HiJack log in your next reply Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall Only post logs requested please. Did you remove everything SpyBot S&D found? Don't post that log, they are very long and we just want to get rid of what it will. Make sure you put a check in all items and repair.
  13. Hoping your New Year is malware free.
  14. Hello again. Sorry you have to be back. Same procedures as last time. If you haven't already, please get these programs, update and run a complete scan removing all items found. 15. Two error messages on update (screen shots attached), it did update though, but I had to kill the installer twice with Task Manager to get rid of it in the tray. Quick scan ran 3 min 23 sec. Edit: The small error message to the right was the second one I got.
  16. Hi there and welcome to Malwarebytes. Are you sure you posted the entire AVG log? It looks very short. The malware is probably blocking Spybot S& D. You are running an outdated and unsafe version of Java. You need to uninstall it via Add/Remove programs and delete the program file also. Then go here http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and install the correct version for your system. Choose the offline installation. Please remove these items in your HJT log. Download this file : http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/combofix.exe 2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts. 3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJack log in your next reply Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall See if you can get a Panda scan now also please. Be thorough and patient with the process, these things can take several procedures to remove. Caution and carefully following direction reduces the chance for failures. I will do my best to check back on this again today. However it is Christmas Eve and ...well you know. B)

  18. OK, after typing the Y do you boot into safe mode? This is my mistake and I'm sorry, I told you that wasn't necessary. Once in safemode you should choose the U option. Now I see how your getting all those other logs. I used a set of instructions that don't explain all of this very well. I am truly sorry. Were you able to uninstall Weather Bug? What symptoms are you having?
  19. I don't understand why you will not scan with the program I have requested. I deleted a scan from A Squared in your latest post. It does show Weather Bug installed. I would remove it if it were me. I would also scan with this program below and post the log as requested and a new HJT log. Please download this file: http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe' rel="external nofollow"> SDFix.exe * Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script. * Type Y to begin the cleanup process. * It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot. * Press any Key and it will restart the PC. * When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons. * Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum). * Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum. Reboot your system in Normal Mode. Then post the SDFix log and a new HJT log please.
