My lap top is really slow as well as the internet browser even though it is quarantined by malwarebytes. I would like to ask if it is safe to delete it completely and possibly any other steps I need to take to completely clean my system. Even though the log indicates that the virus is deleted I can still see it in my quarantine list. negster22 Posted October 20, 2011 ID:487351 Share Posted October 20, 2011 Hi and Welcome to the Malwarebytes' Forum,A lone registry trace has absolutely no impact on the state of your system.For browser sluggishness -Clean your temp files etc with this temporary file cleaner as follows:Download TFC to your desktophttp://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/TFC.exe Close any open windows.Double click the TFC icon to run the programTFC will close all open programs itself in order to run,Click the Start button to begin the process.Allow TFC to run uninterrupted.The program should not take long to finish it's jobOnce its finished it should automatically reboot your machine,if it doesn't, manually reboot to ensure a complete cleanIt's normal after running TFC cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first timeLet's dig deeper to see if there is anything else lingering to cause the slowness in your system. Are you having any other problems besides browser sluggishness. Is your PC slow in general or just when you use the internet?Please perform the steps requested in this topic and copy/paste back the requested logs. Thanks!I'm infected - What do I do now?
