Hi! I'm new here and am not sure how to get that fancy second-by-second description of what happens to my computer. Here is my problem.

I have used your the entire Applian package since May 2009 and have been delighted with all of its programs.

HOWEVER, for the last two days I have been running into problems with Media Catcher. I keep getting a message that it is "unable to connect to the remote licensing server. Please ensure armcp.exe and secure.applian.com are not blocked by your firewall and your proxy server is configured in IE"...

After uninstalling and reinstalling, the same problem occurred. I then restored my system to a previous point in time where the problem did not exist and it worked for a few hours.

Today the problem is back. I am now trying to uninstall the whole package and it doesn't allow me to uninstall any of the components.

How do I uninstall the whole thing, remove all traces of it and then when I reinstall it will this problem be gone?

I went there first, but sadly their forums are 'closed'.

I have Applian package installed on both my laptop and desktop and it's working fine on my desktop. I think I may have a virus on my laptop! Sadzzzz!

Alas, we cannot work on malware detection/removal in this part of the General MBAM forum.

The following information will help you get started on the cleaning process.

As we don't deal with malware removal in this General Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Forum, you need to start a topic in the Malware Removal forum so that a qualified helper can help you fix any malware related problems/infections you may have.

• First, please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete.
  
• If the infection has so crippled the computer that you cannot follow most/all of the requested steps, then please just proceed as advised below:
