Nickb1994 Posted July 15, 2011 ID:454265 Share Posted July 15, 2011 HiI am running windows 7 home premium and today I downloaded a .exe file, when I ran it, it did nothing. I predicted it was a virus so i tried to run MSE and it didn't let me. It disabled my Security center service so i cant system restore. In services.msc when i try to start the Windows Defender and Security Center Service, it briefly starts and then disables again almost instantly.When web browsing, after a google search it will redirect me to random sites when i click on a link.I use Google Chrome but sometime internet explorer will open and show a random website.I scanned with malwarebytes, i did a couple of quick scans and a full scan and restarted when prompted. It found about 6 infected files.I also downloaded avast, and scanned it has found nothing.So my problems at the moment is the security center is not running and when web browsing it redirects me to random pages.I would appreciate any help ThanksNickBump Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Staff screen317 Posted July 18, 2011 Staff ID:455150 Share Posted July 18, 2011 Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.Please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run.
