Would love some help with this infection.

Recommended Posts

Hey y'all, I think I managed to get myself infected with my first real virus (yay me?). Not sure when it started, but I think I got it after visiting a site linked from reddit, however I've also downloaded and installed some USB 3.0 drivers (from the manufacturer's website), downloaded an MSI update utility (again, from MSI's site) and ran it, but haven't downloaded anything, and probably some other things which I've forgotten, so I'm not entirely sure the site off of reddit was the source. But I'm pretty sure I'm infected, so I was hoping maybe HijackThis would give me a clue how to fix it.

Just a bit of background just in case it's helpful: my computer is going nuts. Currently it's running MalwareBytes, SuperAntispyware, and MSE, but even when it's idling my processor is extremely busy with all four cores at at least 25% usage, sometimes jumping up to 50%, and at any given time, one core will almost always be at 100% or close enough. Memory usage is also exceedingly high with 50% used while idling (out of 4 gigs on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit). The other major issue is that I can connect to the internet, but get no response, neither from browsing or pinging a webaddress nor an IP. Sometimes it'll load one webpage, but beyond that, nothing. So currently I have my wireless card disabled on my desktop, just in case the virus communicates or...some such.

Anyhow, the log:

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, as I've little idea what I'm looking for in all that mess. I figure I could safely delete all those O23 (file missing)'s but beyond that wouldn't feel comfortable monkeying around with it on my own.

Bumping this.

Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes.

Please update MBAM, run a Quick Scan, and post its log.

Next, download DDS by sUBs and save it to your Desktop.

Double-click on the DDS icon and let the scan run. When it has run two logs will be produced, please post only DDS.txt directly into your reply.
