WindowsRestore hidden files

Recommended Posts

I removed the WindowsRestore hoax from my computer, but I still have to use "show hidden files" to see my stuff. I know I can change the hidden attribute on specific folders/files, but there's a lot of them and I'm not sure which are supposed to be hidden or not. What should I do?

Since I didn't receive a reply, I started investigating. I believe it's limited to:

C:\Documents and Settings\(your user)\*

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\*

The only tricky part is that some the sub-folders are normally hidden. I used another XP system as a reference for that.

One of the more talented members here should write a script to undo these changes. :)
