I am having the same problem as other people and I have tried the various suggestions but I have got nowhere, we run a web filtering hardware solution and I am wondering if this is the problem, I have opened the acl allow malwarebytes.org but I still get 12029,0,(WinHttpSendRequest)

Please provide following details, so that someone may be able to assist you:

  • OS version including 32/64-bit
  • Installed Security Product(s) including Firewall and Program Versions
  • MBAM version (current 1.50.1.1100) (Free or Pro)
  • Definition version (current 6088)
  • Do you use a router to connect to Internet

Thanks for getting back to me. We use a proxy server to connect to the internet and what I usually have to do is, allow an address to connect if I am having difficulty accessing a site. However in this case I hadn't looked at the options on the malwares start up page and once I changed the settings/updater settings/use proxy it worked a treat.
