nguy0298 Posted November 13, 2008 ID:34668 Share Posted November 13, 2008 The virus I had was blocking Ad-Aware updates so its scan failed to detect it. McAfee was useless as it failed to protect me or detect anything.The virus blocked the MalwareBytes installer and executable from running but I was able to get around this by renaming them. The MalwareBytes tool was blocked from updating but thankfully an update was not necessary to detect and remove the Antivirus Pro 2009 virus.
