I've got a friend that has the Pro verison of MBAM and recently had Advanced Registry Optimizer popup and install on her computer. I told her to reboot in safe mode and run a scan. She never called me back so I'm assuming that she got it cleaned. But I would like to know why the resident blocking feature of mbam didn't' block this?

It would be hard to tell, we would need more info, for example what version of Malwarebytes did she have installed, what database version was running at the time?

Could you have her come by the forum and post some more info?
