cant update mbam

Recommended Posts

Even in safe mode I cannot update mbam. Is there a way to download the signatures and convey

them to the computer with the malware on it?

This is some kind of really entrenched virus. Symantec was calling it

trojan.ByteVerify Trend micro sysclean detected it and called it java_loader.hll

Nothing has been able to clean the virus. Also the virus interferes with everything I have tried running.

I can get mbam to run from the command line if I called the executable something different but it can't do

the updates.

The virus was one of those fake av type things that hijacked the browsers.

BTW when I tell it to update with the /runupdate flag it says

MBAM_ERROR_NOT_REGISTERED (0,0) and advises I should "tell support".

so you have been told.
