Malwarebytes crashes during a full scan of c:\

Malwarebytes Database version" 4401

This is the information I'm given in the little window when it tells me it's sorry and it's crashed

AppName: mbam.exe AppVer: 1.46.0.1 ModName: mbam.dll

ModVer: 1.46.0.0 Offset: 0001fffe

Dr. Watson also crashes a few moments later.

I tried:

- reinstalling Malwarebytes

- uninstalling, and then reinstalling Malwarebytes

- running Malwarebytes in Safe Mode (the file it crashed on was c:\i386\verona.jpg

but to no avail. Can anyone give me any pointers?

Welcome vanman -

There can be a few reasons - Please try this first - This applies mainly if you have not scanned for about 2 days -

Click on your Malwarebytes screen Icon > Click Settings Tab > Click Scanner Settings > Untick the bottom box only -

This box reads "Enable advanced heuristics engine" then try a quick scan -
