auto update scheduler not working properly

I'm using v1.45 MBAM on XP mediacenter edition 2002. The scheduler has some odd things.

1) The start date doesn't show

2) I can't get the tooltipballoon to show. The option is not saved or at least not shown when the update tab or the scheduled event is selected.

3) I can pick a date from the dropdown list but the time is always 8:40 for some reason.

4) It seems to be updating but I'm not quite sure since the date for the library isn't the same on the update tab as on the tooltip when hovering over the MBAM tray icon. Update tab says date 4/23/2010 version 4029, the tooltip over the mbam icon says 4029 (24-4-2010)

I tried removing all scheduled events and re-entering new for both scan and update but it doesn't help.

Did you read all the instructions HERE on setting the updates and schedules -

If you think your copy of the program is faulty please follow these instructions - Select the one to suit your Operating System -

To Fully Remove and Reinstall a Fresh New Copy of Malwarebytes - Read Carefully

Windows XP:

  • Click on Start and select Control Panel
  • Open Add/Remove Programs
  • Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Restart your computer very important !
  • Download and run mbam-clean.exe from here

It will ask to restart your computer, please allow it to do so, very important

After the computer restarts, temporarily disable your Anti-Virus and install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here

Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent via email if using the Pro version only -

Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates.

Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray if using the Pro version. Now setup any file exclusions as may be required in your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security/Firewall applications and restart your Anti-Virus/Internet-Security applications. You may use the guides posted in the FAQ's here or ask me and I'll explain how to do it.
