Scans taking over 20 hours

Hello I have been running a scan and it has taken over 20 hours to finish the full scan. Also my antivirus has been scanning for the same 20 plus hours.. its a fairly mid range computer and removed temp files with ccleaner, the computer can shut down. Just wondering why its having some sort of loop or something.

What anti-virus software are you using? Are you scanning with MBAM at the same time you are scanning with your Anti-Virus software (that would not be a good Idea)

Have you excluded the MBAM files from your anti-virus software?
