Hijack.Display properties

Recommended Posts

I just installed Malwarebytesantimalware and ran a scan with the results below:

Hkey_Local_Machinhe\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer\no active desktop changes (Hijack.Display properties) - Bad: (1) Good: (0)

Could someone please tell me what this means or what is it?

I tried to search out some info on this and one said that it affected the active desktop somehow and that a registry change would have to be made and the other said that it was a useless file and to delete it.

I did allow malwarebytes to delete it and wonder if that was the right thing to do. (They put it in quarantine also.)

Your explanations would be most appreciated.

it is safe to ignore this or you can remove it. It was probably some security software that you installed that put that setting there, like your AV for example. Either way you can safely ignore it or remove it, it will make no difference how your computer runs.
