Cannot get Malwarebytes to run

I have been reading all morning and trying different things to get it to run. Please help!! My computer had the XP Defender Pro thing pop up but that has been gone for about an hour after doing the notebook fix.xxx thing. Mozilla still tries to redirect me on every webpage that I go to. I click on the program and I get the hourglass then nothing. Not sure what I should try next
