Disableconfig

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I recently ran Malwarebytes on my laptop to get rid of some malware. It removed most of the infected files, and then gave a list of files that could only be removed via a reboot. After the reboot, one file remained, namely:

HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINE\sofware\policies\microsoft\windows nt\systemrestore\disableconfig

Whenever I follow the instructions to reboot in order to remove the above infection, it simply remains after the reboot.

How do I remove the above infection, or (more importantly) should the above file be removed or not?

Thanks
