cant download MalwareBytes on my new computer

sorry, dont know where this goes. im sure im in the wrong place.

so, i got a new computer. well, its new to me anyways. and so i need to get the program on this computer. i have been getting some popups and some other issues. ran my Avast and nothing came up on that. but, still getting popups when im not even on the popup sites. :/

im runnning: XPsp3 Pro; Firefox browser.

so, i go to the usual place to get the MalwareBytes program (Cnet.com) and when i tick the "download now" button, i get a blank white page with the message "connection reset". every time this happens. theres got to be some kind of thing either blocking me from dl it or some type of malware on here that is stopping me.

any ideas what could be causing this?

ok now i am getting it. the connection was still reset though. so, maybe they were having troubles. you can lock or delete this post.
